Post navigation I love coding and hope to keep doing it forever. Not sure why everyone assumes you have to switch to management by 35 or risk getting laid off. If you enjoy it, just enjoy it—ignore societal expectations. After all, the world can be pretty superficial. Companies in developed countries are often too detached from their supply chains, which means they really have to focus on building their brands and must think things through thoroughly before executing. Unlike teams in developing countries, they can’t just whip up a prototype on the factory floor and say, “Wow, this is great, let’s get the graphics done tonight and launch tomorrow.”
